We all keep hearing the million-dollar question: What is needed for a successful startup?
Team? Market? Product-Market Fit? Founder-Market Fit? Product-Channel Fit?
My professor Thomas Riordan (A Chip Designer and an Entrepreneur himself) shared his list last year with me. I came across the email we exchanged and I wanted to post it here.
Here is the recipe:
- Competence
- Perseverance
- Access to almost enough money
- Luck
It’s like a mathematical proof, neat and well constructed. The more you look at it the the better you see how they all build on top of each other.
I might add timing but maybe we can include it into #4.
I just wanted to share and put an end this quest!
